Akzo Nobel Surfactants is one of ten business units within the Chemicals group of Akzo Nobel. The business unit works with a global perspective and has a strong technological base in fatty acids and cellulose derivatives with a particular emphasis on surfactants. Some of the application areas are Detergents, Cleaning, Personal Care and Rheology Additives. Some industrial applications are Hard Surface Cleaning, Flotation, Asphalt, Viscose Additives as well as Feed Additives. Production sites and marketing centres can be found in several locations around the world. Business Unit Surfactants, headquartered in Stenungsund, Sweden, employs approximately 1,700 people.
