Buckman Laboratories is an ISO certified, specialty chemical manufacturer founded in 1945 and headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. Founded in 1945, the company has an established global presence, operating in over 90 countries around the world. Buckman affiliates are located in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Japan, South Africa, Singapore, China, and India. The company has 23 business units, 1800 employees, and 10 manufacturing and technical centers worldwide. Primary markets are pulp and paper, water treatment, leather, and performance chemicals. The company’s innovative and environmentally sound products as well as its proprietary business processes make possible our customers’ operational and business success.
Innovative products for the paper industry include Neoteric® for paper machine boilouts, Mosaic® microparticles for wet end chemistry, Omega® for secondary repulping, Genesis® for the entire pulp mill process, and Optimyze® for enzymatic stickies control. In 2004, Buckman Laboratories won the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award for the company’s Optimyze technology for enzymatic stickies control in recycled papers, which replaced more hazardous chemistries.
In the leather industry, Buckman provides a full range of fungicides, preservatives, cleaners, unhairing agents, penetrants/dispersants, wet white tanning agents, fatliquoring agents, and enzymatic products for soaking, bating, and degreasing.
Buckman offers water treatment programs for steam/condensate, wastewater, boiler fireside/waterside, heat exchangers, cooling towers, closed systems for cooling and heating, and reverse osmosis elements.
