Dow Corning was formed in 1943 as a joint venture between Corning Glass Works (now Corning, Incorporated) and The Dow Chemical Company, which continue to own shares equally today.

We employ more than 8,800 people globally, operating more than 41 manufacturing, warehouse and customer service center locations worldwide. Our headquarters are in Midland, Michigan, USA.

We hold approximately 1,400 active patents in the United States and about 4,600 worldwide.
