P Chem is an “independent” wholesale manufacturer - providing innovative, proprietary solutions to chemical manufacturers and petroleum companies under the P Chem name as well as providing private-label manufacturing services.
P Chem's key products include:
Corrosion Inhibitors – Corrosion inhibitors consist of oil-soluble and water-dispersible imidazolines and amido and quaternary amines that form a film on metallic surfaces (such as pipes, tanks, and drill heads) that protect the metal from corrosive agents.
Scale Inhibitors – Scale inhibitors are phosphonate-based inhibitors that are used in the production of oil and gas. Scale inhibitors are continuously fed into the production system to reduce or eliminate carbonate and sulfate scale, a hard mineral coating that forms on the inside of production equipment.
Blends – Blends represent a combination of inhibitor, scavenger and other products that are used for more specific needs in the field. Blends are often utilized in harsher operating environments where multiple treatments are required. P Chem is able to utilize its technical ability to combine various chemical formulations for specific applications.
Syrgis Performance Initiators, Inc. (Previously Norac Organic Peroxides)
The newest member in the Syrgis group of companies, Syrgis Performance Initiators was formed with the acquisition of the organic peroxides business from Norac in August 2007. With manufacturing, sales and distribution facilities in Helena, Ark., and Sweden, Syrgis Performance Initiators is the Number One producer of methyl ethyl ketone peroxides in North America and ranked third in the world in organic peroxides for plastics and reinforced thermoset composites. This specialty Syrgis business produces chemicals that, when used in the manufacturing of reinforced and cast polymer composites products, help in the gel and cure of the resin at room and elevated temperatures while increasing their durability.
