FutureFuel Chemical Company located in Batesville, Arkansas is an ISO 9001 and BQ9000 site with approximately 500 employees. We specialize in Custom and Toll manufacturing for Fine and Specialty Chemicals. We also design, build and operate dedicated customer facilities. Markets we serve include: Paint & Coatings, Pharmaceutical, Energy, Cleaning Products, and Agriculture

Our Performance Chemicals products include Polymer Additives, Chelating Agents, Surfactants, Bleach Activators and Specialty Solvents. Derivatives of these compounds can also be made available upon request.

The site consists of 2,200 acres of available land with approximately 500 acres currently developed. It is self-contained with on-site biological waste water treatment and hazardous liquid waste incineration. FutureFuel has a fully staffed Research and Development Department dedicated to Process and Product Development and World Class Analytical Capabilities. In addition, we have in-house Process and Construction Engineering that can implement new projects quickly and efficiently.

Our plant has several specialized continuous and batch production trains. We have over 60 general purpose batch reactors, ranging in size from 1000 to 3000 gallons. Approximately half of these reactors are glass-lined steel with the other half being stainless steel. In addition, we have 49 centrifuges or filters (both Alloy C and stainless); and 13 dryers (auto filter dryers, rotary cone dryers; Alloy C, glass lined and stainless). We also have more than 20 continuous reactors ranging up to 6500 gallons, along with associated distillation, filtration, and drying equipment.

In its almost 50-year site history, FutureFuel Chemical Company practices a wide range of different physical operations and complex multi-step organic syntheses. We are also the largest biodiesel and glycerin producer in the mid-south region.
